Important Note: Single-Ended Signal Adapter
TRS stands for Tip, Ring, Sleeve—the standard configuration for stereo plugs. The 6.35mm size is commonly used for desktop devices, while the 4.4mm balanced output is often found on portable devices. In some situations, you may need to connect a 6.35mm headphone to a 4.4mm device, which requires a specially designed adapter. This is distinct from the traditional 3.5mm adapters.
Adapter Compatibility
This adapter is designed for single-ended signals. When converting from a 4.4mm balanced output to a single-ended signal, only half the power is utilized, with the signal coming from the device's L+, R+, and the 5th node of the 4.4mm socket serving as the ground return (G).
Caution! Do not short the L- and R- terminals to ground (G) in a balanced 4.4mm signal. Doing so will increase the load on the device and may cause damage.
